Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a type of assisted reproductive technology that involves taking the male partner's semen, processing it in the laboratory to select sperm with optimal morphology and motility, concentrating it into a suspension of about 0.3-0.5 ml, and then injecting it into the uterine cavity through the female vagina and cervix. Compared to other assisted reproductive technologies, IUI is a conception method closer to the natural state, mainly suitable for infertility caused by male factors such as poor sperm motility, low semen volume, or abnormal semen liquefaction. Women suitable for IUI must meet the following conditions: first, the fallopian tubes must be unobstructed; second, ovulation must be normal. Patients without normal ovulation will undergo ovulation induction during their menstrual period to improve ovulation status and obtain mature eggs.
